it's not goodbye, but 'see you later'

We had a wonderful Nanny,
One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold;
Her eyes were as bright as shining stars,
And in her cheeks fair roses you see.
We had a wonderful Nanny,
And that’ s the way it will always be.
But take heed, because
She’s still keeping an eye on all of us,
So let’s make sure
She will like what she sees.

This poem could not be any truer about my sweet Nanny! With a heart of gold, she touched the lives of many! I will always cherish the wonderful memories I made with her ::
- teaching me how to play Solitaire because she was tired of playing Go Fish
- watching "Tales of the Crypt" through the cracks of my fingers on her couch
- reading Mother Goose nursery rhymes
- painting flower pots
- singing at "5th Sunday Singings" at Union Springs
- eating Fritos and lemon juice
- begging her to make fried chicken for every occassion possible

Although it is hard to see her go, I know she is not suffering and is now enjoying a land we can only dream of.  So, it is not goodbye that I am saying, it is see you later!
